  21. Welcome to TurboCopy - The fastest file copy program north of the south
  22. pole and south of the north pole! (If you don't believe me, have a look
  23. at the file tcbench.doc!)

  25. Please refer to tcmanual.doc for basic instructions on how to use
  26. TurboCopy. If you are like me, you will probably be inclined to ignore
  27. the manual, but please take the time to look through it, since there are
  28. some finer points which you might not pick up by just fooling around
  29. with the program.

  31. TurboCopy is 99% compatible with, and works exactly the same as XCopy
  32. and DOS Copy, it is just much faster; so if you know DOS you shouldn't
  33. have any trouble operating TurboCopy.

  35. To save space, I have not included the source and executable for
  36. TurboCopy 1.15 in this package (like I usually do). You will find it
  37. together with TurboCopy 2.00 which is available on SIMTEL20 (or, at
  38. least, used to be.)

  40. Apart from that said above I don't have much more to say but that I hope
  41. you will find TurboCopy useful, easy to operate and fast.

  63. To avoid disappointment(!), please DO NOT use TurboCopy's floppy cache
  64. together with another floppy WRITEBACK cache (it's OK if it's delayed
  65. writes are off). Since it is pointless to have two writeback caches on
  66. the same drive at the same time this shouldn't be a drawback. I have
  67. found that TC works with many floppy writeback caches, however I'm not
  68. guaranteeing anything. If you really insist on using the floppy
  69. writeback cache you bought at the café on the corner, type TC/U and
  70. disable TC's built in cache. I have added optional FDRead emulation in
  71. TC 2.01: If you rarely (or never) use floppies formatted to nonstandard
  72. capacities, or you experience compatibility problems; you may disable
  73. this feature.
