  3. This set of files performs an update of OLX version 3.0, 3.01 or 3.02
  4. and creates OLX version 3.10.
  5.  
  6.  
  7.    It will only operate on a commercial release of OLX 3.x
  8.    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  9.        and may only be used by paid licensees of OLX 3.x

  12.    USE OF THIS PROGRAM BY OTHER THAN REGISTERED USERS OF OLX 3.x IS

  17. THIS PATCH IS FOR THE OLX V3 THAT IS SOLD AS A STAND-ALONE PRODUCT AND
  18. WILL NOT WORK ON OLX V3 THAT WAS INCLUDED WITH QMODEMPRO.

  21. The update program consists of two parts, the executable patch 
  22. program (PATCH.EXE) and the patch data file (OLX310.RTP). The patch
  23. data file contains all the information needed to make changes in 
  24. the old executable files and to track the application of patches,
  25. even after multiple updates have been performed.
  26.  
  27. To perform the update follow these simple instructions:
  28.  
  29. 1.  Copy the two update files PATCH.EXE and OLX310.RTP to the directory
  30.     containing your OLX 3.x executable files.
  31.  
  32. 2.  Check to make sure that the directory contains OLX.EXE OLX.OVR,
  33.     OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG.  If any of these files are missing the patch
  34.     program will not run.
  35.  
  36. 3.  Change to the OLX 3 directory and type
  37.  
  38.       PATCH OLX310.RTP
  39.  
  40.       and press <ENTER>.
  41.  
  42. 4.  A successful patch process results in the following screen
  43.     indicating that four files were patched:

  65. Should you experience a problem is applying the patch please perform the
  66. following steps before contacting technical support.

  68. 1. Reinstall OLX v3.x from your original disks into a new temporary
  69.    directory.
  70.  
  71. 2. Perform the patch process as described above on the OLX v3.x files in
  72.    the new temporary directory.
  73.  
  74. 3. If the patch is successful copy the patched files OLX.EXE, OLX.OVR,
  75.    OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG from the temporary directory to your OLX
  76.    directory.

  78.    If the patch is still not successful contact technical support at
  79.    805-334-2240 to resolve the situation.  KEEP IN MIND:

  103. ■  Fixed problem with PgDn near the end of the file in the file viewer.

  105. ■  Fixed problem with resizing an editor window near the right hand edge

  127. ■  Fixed problems with running OLX from a drive different from the
  128.    one OLX is installed on.

  130. ■  Fixed some problems with cut and paste and cursor positioning in
  131.    the editor.

  134.    packer is now used.
