  5.         This is the newest version of my networkable roladex program.
  6.         I've fixed a bug and added an 'abort' to the 'name list'
  7.         button because this process could get lengthy when you start
  8.         to accumulate lots of records.
  9.  
  10.         The program is pretty self explanatory, but I should point
  11.         out a few things.
  12.  
  13.         1) INSTALLATION
  14.                 To install ROLADEX, simply copy the EXE file onto
  15.                 each computer that will be using it.  YOU MUST HAVE A
  16.                 COPY OF THE .EXE FILE RUNNING ON EACH WORKSTATION
  17.                 THAT IS USING ROLADEX ON THE NETWORK.
  18.  
  19.         2) DATA PATH
  20.                 The first time you start ROLADEX, you will get
  21.                 prompted for the DATA PATH. This is simply where
  22.                 ROLADEX will look for the data files.  This should be
  23.                 a sub-directory on a server's hard disk. For example,
  24.                 if your server is your drive E: then create a
  25.                 subdirectory like E:\ROLADEX and then each user will
  26.                 specify E:\ROLADEX\ as their data path.  Everyone
  27.                 will have a copy of the .exe file, and share one
  28.                 common data file on server E:.
  29.  
  30.              3) SINGLE USER
  31.                 Roladex may also be used by a single user.  Simply
  32.                 make a directory on you hard disk the data path. For
  33.                 example : C:\ROLADEX\
  34.  
  35.              4) SHARE
  36.                 As on many networks, the dos SHARE program MUST be
  37.                 loaded in order for ROLADEX to work correctly.

  39.              5) EUTIL
  40.                 EUTIL is a database utility for manipulating data
  41.                 files created by ROLADEX.  I should note that the
  42.                 ISAM routines used in ROLADEX are from EllTech
  43.                 Development, and are great!  EUTIL is their program
  44.                 and is distributed with permission.  If you are a
  45.                 BASIC programmer and want all kinds of great assembly
  46.                 and database libraries, call EllTech at 404-928-8960.
