  1.               Data file formats on PL version 3.1x are somewhat larger 
  2.          than on prior versions.  If you need to upgrade a file that you 
  3.          already started on an older version, follow this procedure: 
  4.  
  5.             1. Install PL 3.1x
  6.             2. Use WILD.DBF
  7.             3. Create a new file
  8.             4. Use that new (empty) file
  9.             5. Append the old file to be updated to the new file
  10.
