  1. NAVLOG is a program for mariners that make
  2. blue water passages. It enables easy 
  3. calculations and recording of navigation 
  4. data  Using the inputs of latitude, 
  5. longitude, and time, it calculates distance, 
  6. course, and average speed between two 
  7. navigational fixes.  It also records each 
  8. set of position data, thereby providing a 
  9. permanent record of a passage.  I have
  10. found this information to be very useful, 
  11. but it is often been too much work to do 
  12. manually. NAVLOG easily provides this
  13. information, and it saves wear and tear on
  14. navigational charts.
