  4.                                INSTALLATION

  7.     To install DIMANAGE 3.5, simply make sure that INSTALL.EXE and
  8.     DIMA35.BLC are on the same diskette or in the same directory on your
  9.     hard drive.  Then just type the following at the DOS prompt:
  10.  
  11.                             INSTALL C:\DIMANAGE
  12.  
  13.                  or, if the files are on a different drive
  14.  
  15.                            A:INSTALL C:\DIMANAGE
  16.  
  17.     You may substitute another hard drive name (such as D:) if you want the
  18.     program installed on another drive, or you may substitute another
  19.     directory name (such as \mydir) if you want the program installed in a
  20.     directory with a name other than \DIMANAGE.
  21.     
  22.     SPECIAL NOTE: If you have been evaluating an earlier version of
  23.     DIMANAGE, you should install this version in a different directory.
  24.     The database structures for DIMANAGE 3.5 are not the same as those used
  25.     in earlier versions, and the shareware installation program cannot
  26.     convert your files to the new structures.  (This is necessary to keep
  27.     the size of the shareware distribution package reasonable for thse who
  28.     might want to download it from a bulletin board system.) If you would
  29.     like to convert your files, contact us and we will send you an
  30.     installation program that will convert your databases for use with
  31.     DIMANAGE 3.5.  As an alternative, you can do the conversion yourself,
  32.     using the database structures provided in the manual and any program
  33.     that can handle standard xBASE files.  If you decide to register, the
  34.     installation program that comes with your registered copy will convert
  35.     your databases automatically.

  37.     Documentation for DIMANAGE is included in this package.  To obtain a
  38.     printed copy, simply type:

  42.     The documentation is formatted to fit on 8-1/2" x 11" paper, at 60
  43.     lines per page.

  85.     You may register DIMANAGE by printing the file named ORDER.FRM,
  86.     completing it and mailing it to us with your check.  If you are a
  87.     member of CompuServe, you may also register by using CompuServe's
  88.     Shareware Registration Service (GO SWREG).  Browse for the keyword
  89.     DIMANAGE.  This program's registration ID in the Shareware database is
  90.     422.

  92.     You may also purchase a receipt printing utility program when you
  93.     register.  This program prints receipts after you have posted rent.
  94.     These receipts are designed to fit into a standard double-window
  95.     envelope that you may purchase from any business supply store.  This
  96.     utility program is available to registered users only, for for $25.00.

  98.     Registered users also receive a backup utility free of charge.  You may
  99.     use this program to back up your data to floppy diskettes for
  100.     safekeeping.

  106.     The file named DEMO.EXE is a demonstration of DIMANAGE PROFESSIONAL, a
  107.     new release from D I Management Corporation.  This program is not a
  108.     shareware program, and includes many features not available in DIMANAGE
  109.     3.5.  For more information about DIMANAGE PROFESSIONAL, see the file
  110.     named PROFESS.DOC, which is included in this distribution package, or
  111.     run the program named DEMO.EXE, which is automatically installed when
  112.     you install DIMANAGE 3.5.
