Welcome to Z-List!
--------------------
I had noticed there are lots of BBS lists available, some good, some
not so good. Most of the good ones are simple, no nonsense types that
are easy to read and are easy to update. I noticed there were lists
that were generic and lists that were specific. What I didn't find was
a simple, easy to read, no nonsense, easy to update list that catered
to the ZyXel modem owner. Now, there is a ZyXel list available on the
ZyXel support board but, frankly, I found it a bit lacking in clarity.
That's why I started this list. We ZyXel owners need to know where the
ZyXel boards are so we can make the best use of modems.
The rules for the list are simple:
1. Be a full time board (24 hours/7 days a week)
2. Open to the public
3. Not adults only.
4. Update your listing once every 4 months
There are a couple of ways for you to get on the list. You can call my
board (The Telephone Exchange 407-791-2474) and enter z-list at the
main command prompt (no need to go through all the registration,
initial access will be fine) or route me a message on RIME in the
Sysop or Common conference (my site number is 222 and my node ID is
TELEPHNE).
Here's the information you will need to provide for the list:
Phone: <10 digits (AC + number)>
Board Name: <obvious>
Location: <city, st>
Sysop: <your name>
BBS Type: <software type and version #>
Highest Speed: <obvious>
Description: <78 characters maximum>
The list will consist of a short version (boardname/type, sysop name,
phone number, and highest speed) and a long version (which adds the
description). The list will be posted monthly as ZLSTyymm.ZIP
Help me make this a list we can be proud to be on!
