  20.        Welcome to the first issue of BBS's to the MAX, (BBSMAX). As with 
  21.       anything new BBSMAX is starting small. Not on my choice, but because
  22.       BBSMAX is new there will be a reluctancy on the part of many SysOp's
  23.       to try it because of the fear of getting into something new. They 
  24.       would like to see it out there in the BBS world first. I do understand
  25.       that, especially these days. Well here it is! This file depends on 
  26.       you to get it passed around, (You needed the File-Ratio points anyway)
  27.       Upload this file everywhere you call, and watch for more BBSMAX!
  28.                                                                       
  29.        Everything you ever wanted to know about a BBS before you give
  30.       the (Phone Company) a penny of your hard earned money.
  31.       Find the BBS that supports your habits. Looking for games?
  32.       You may look at the BBS "Main Interest" or the Description and see if 
  33.       it's their specialty, or it might be that a certain BBS is the Support
  34.       BBS for your favorite game's or other programs. To find out if a
  35.       BBS is a Support or Author BBS look under the "A" and if there is a 
  36.       yes go to the "A =" in that BBS's listing to see if it is your type 
  37.       of Programs. If it is the Adult Files that interest you, look under 
  38.       the "X" and there will be a "Y" or "N", its that simple. 
  39.        
  40.        For you Long Distance callers, In some areas it is far cheaper to
  41.       call Out Of State numbers than those in your own Area Code or State.
  42.       Most Long Distance company's have a calling plan that can save you
  43.       many of those hard earned dollars. You should give your Long Distance
  44.       Carrier a call, most of them have an 800 number listed in your phone 
  45.       book that can give you all the information you need to get your Phone
  46.       Bill down to size, and give you a chance to explore the BBS World.
  47.  
  48.        This File will be available once a month as BBSMAX##, BBSMAX00 being
  49.       The Pre-Release for SysOp's to get their BBS's Listed in the first
  50.       issue which will be BBSMAX01. SysOp's fill out SYSOP.APP for this.

  52.        Now for the World of BBS's. The following describes the entries
  53.       for each of these fine BBS's. They are in order of Area Code and     
  54.       Then the Town. The First BBS listed in a specific town will always
  55.       be the first and then in order of my recieving the applications
  56.       will continue. Give them a call Today!

  59. @ = Baud of that Specific Node  (+)= 14400+, (=)= 9600 (-)= 2400 or less
  60. Baud = Top Baud Rate Supported 
  61. C = Main CPU File Types ( I= IBM compatible, M= Mac, A= Amiga,)
  62. N = Total Number of Nodes 
  63. P = Number of Public Nodes 
  64. S = Number of Subscriber or Supporting Member Nodes
  65. Meg = Meg of On-Line Space (Hard Drive and CD-ROM)
  66. CD = CD ROM's On-Line
  67. # = Number or CD-ROM's On-Line
  68. R = That the BBS has a CD-ROM disk rotation schedule
  69. ASP = Association of Shareware Professionals Member BBS (Yes or No)
  70. HRS = Hours per Day
  71. B = Beta Test Site 
  72. A = Software Support BBS ( Author BBS )
  73. V = Visiting SysOp Area or Conference
  74. X = Adult Files and/or Conference Area
  75. O = On-Line Games
  76. T = Free or Trial Membership time in (Days)  [0 = None]
  77. % = File Ratio - Number Shown is the (# of Files) you May Download for every 
  78.          (one) Quality Non-Duplicate Upload Made to the board! [0 = No Ratio]
  79. $ = Supporting Membership available to Reduce or Remove File Ratios, add to
  80.     available On-Line Time, and/or access restricted or Member only Functions
  81. U = Upload Processor used to check for Duplicate Files ect.
  82. Z = Zmodem Protocol Available
  83. 2 = 2 Way Protocols Available
  84. M = Messages Bases and/or Networks, Mail Doors available

  86.  In the description there are three lines available for complete descriptions
  87.  of the B, A, O, CD, $, V, M, Misc. or any other special fetures of that BBS. 
  88.  O = Would include some On-Line games that are a special feature of that BBS.
  89.  (ASAD) in a listing is, (Association of Software Authors and Distributors).

  91. Due to an ommission in some of the applications, there are no total available
  92. file amounts on some BBS's. Use your imagination by checking their total MEG.
