SOFTWARE AUTHOR ANNOUNCES PRISM GUIDE
Atlanta, Georgia, August 12, 1993 -- Gary Smith, a software
author in Atlanta, today announces PRISM Guide -- a quarterly
multimedia presentation, distributed as freeware. PRISM
incorporates graphics and text files into an animated slide
show and text reader which present the subject of belief systems.
The purpose of PRISM is to help us understand ourselves and our
world by exploring and analyzing belief systems, and applying
the insights to our lives.
One thing all human beings have in common is a belief system.
Whether atheistic, agnostic, humanist, fundamentalist or liberal,
a belief system is a central part of every person's life. PRISM
offers slide show-type lessons and text containing life stories,
quotes and suggested exercises having to do with belief systems.
PRISM is intended to be religion-neutral in order to be
distributed to as wide an audience as possible. A diversity of
belief systems are presented, and objectivity is maintained by
using text that has been written by people holding those beliefs.
Survey questions are included, such as "What is your concept of
God?" and PRISM users are invited to respond. The responses, if
submitted to the PRISM editor, are considered for future volumes.
The aim is to apply fairness and balance to the content of each
volume of PRISM.
PRISM requires VGA and about 1 mg of hard disk space, and runs
under DOS or Windows. One volume of PRISM Guide has been
completed and is available for downloading from the Media BBS
at 404-804-7889. Shareware distributors are welcome!
Type MSHOW and press enter to start.
