  2. ║                     Just Past The Gates Of Hell                           ║

  5. ║       Good evening. I am glad that you could join me here in my           ║
  6. ║   humble, if some- what warm abode. I do hope that you are able to        ║
  7. ║   breathe easily, some find the odor of brimstone a bit nauseating        ║
  8. ║   until they get used to it. You see, I am not used to getting            ║
  9. ║   visitors here. Those who do come, do not come of their own              ║
  10. ║   accord...and I find they are not at all in the mood for any type of     ║
  11. ║   con- versation. But you did not come here to listen to my personal      ║
  12. ║   dilemma's. So, sit back and relax, we can discuss other, more           ║
  13. ║   interesting things. And please, call me Lou.                            ║
  14. ║                                                                           ║
  15. ║       I like to think of myself as a student of human nature. I've        ║
  16. ║   spent a long, long time studying them. And although at times it can     ║
  17. ║   be quite predictable, it is such a fascinating subject...wouldn't       ║
  18. ║   you agree? I find it rather amazing how you can take one person, add    ║
  19. ║   the opportunity to make some easy money and you wind up with one        ║
  20. ║   greedy person. Take two people, add a little love and you get           ║
  21. ║   jealousy..and jealousy can lead to all sorts of nasty consequences.     ║
  22. ║   The list is endless.                                                    ║
  23. ║                                                                           ║
  24. ║       Human's have this morbid fascination with death and gore. I have    ║
  25. ║   watched as people, who driving at a fast clip, will slow down to        ║
  26. ║   gape at an accident on the opposite side of the parkway...hoping to     ║
  27. ║   catch a glimpse of blood or a limb or two. Humans are both attracted    ║
  28. ║   and repelled by gore. While death scares the hell out of them, they     ║
  29. ║   are totally fascinated by it. People will go to the movies to have      ║
  30. ║   the life scared out of them by some horrible creature that doesn't      ║
  31. ║   exist...or rather that they prey doesn't exist.                         ║
  32. ║                                                                           ║
  33. ║       And let me be the first to congratulate them, they have come up     ║
  34. ║   with some of the most fascinating things. Monsters of ever shape and    ║
  35. ║   form known to man, and some that are unknown. They have monsters        ║
  36. ║   from space, monsters from the sea and monsters from the earth           ║
  37. ║   itself. Witches and warlocks make potions and cast spells, incense      ║
  38. ║   curls to the roof as they mumble strange words over a boiling           ║
  39. ║   cauldron. Large hairy beasts roam the frozen north, claiming them to    ║
  40. ║   have 'bigfeet'. A strange serpent even swims the locks of the           ║
  41. ║   highlands.                                                              ║
  42. ║                                                                           ║
  43. ║       They have created a world of vampires, werewolves, zombies and      ║
  44. ║   ghouls. All of these creatures and more walk the earth in search of     ║
  45. ║   human prey, and to scare them to death. They tell their children        ║
  46. ║   horror stories at night before putting them down to bed. They tell      ║
  47. ║   them if they don't behave, some creature with 6 arms and 100 eyes       ║
  48. ║   lurks in their closet, waiting to pounce on them. It amazes me how      ║
  49. ║   many things they have come up with in order to scare and frighten       ║
  50. ║   themselves.                                                             ║
  51. ║                                                                           ║
  52. ║       The men of the spiritual natures have created a 'devil' and the     ║
  53. ║   world in which he rules, hell. They comfort you with the knowledge      ║
  54. ║   that should you misbehave during life...your sure to burn in hell       ║
  55. ║   throughout eternity. Such wonderful imagination humans have! But you    ║
  56. ║   know what is the most frightening creature of all? It's not one from    ║
  57. ║   some deep depraved mind, nor is from a some wild and wonderful          ║
  58. ║   imagination. All mankind has to do in order to see the worst monster    ║
  59. ║   of all is to look in the mirror.                                        ║
  60. ║                                                                           ║
  61. ║       Throughout time and history man has accomplished more horror and    ║
  62. ║   death than all your imagined horrors combined. It will not be a         ║
  63. ║   space ship from another planet or a monster from the depths of the      ║
  64. ║   sea that destroy mankind. It will be mankind itself. Since the dawn     ║
  65. ║   of man, he has found more ways and reasons to kill than any other       ║
  66. ║   creature to walk the earth. He will lie, cheat, steal, step on, step    ║
  67. ║   over, bribe, connive or anything else it takes in order to be able      ║
  68. ║   to stand just a little higher than his fellow man. Amazing, isn't       ║
  69. ║   it?                                                                     ║
  70. ║                                                                           ║
  71. ║       He will smile and shake your hand with one of his own, all the      ║
  72. ║   while his other hand is plunging a rather sharp object into your        ║
  73. ║   back. He crumbles and gives in to his vices, greed and emotions. Man    ║
  74. ║   has spawned many monsters, Jack the Ripper, Son of Sam, Charles         ║
  75. ║   Manson and Jeffrey Dahmer just to name a few. Man has also spawned      ║
  76. ║   many 'career' monsters as well, Al Capone, Bugs Moran, Bonnie and       ║
  77. ║   Clyde just to name a few. Yes, man is an evil creature and he has       ║
  78. ║   proven this time after time. The human animal can be just that, an      ║
  79. ║   animal. (And that is an insult to animals everywhere)                   ║
  80. ║                                                                           ║
  81. ║       Well, I can see that the heat and brimstone are starting to get     ║
  82. ║   to you. I am glad we had this chance to chat..I do hope you can         ║
  83. ║   return another time, so we can look further into this monster we        ║
  84. ║   call 'man'. I will be looking forward to seeing you again...Good        ║
  85. ║   night and pleasant dreams.                                              ║
