  3. ║                                                                 ║
  4. ║               I note the obvious differences                    ║
  5. ║               in the human family.                              ║
  6. ║               Some of us are serious,                           ║
  7. ║               some thrive on comedy.                            ║
  8. ║                                                                 ║
  9. ║               Some declare their lives are lived                ║
  10. ║               as true profundity,                               ║
  11. ║               and others claim they really live                 ║
  12. ║               the real reality.                                 ║
  13. ║                                                                 ║
  14. ║               The variety of our skin tones                     ║
  15. ║               can confuse, bemuse, delight,                     ║
  16. ║               brown and pink and beige and purple,              ║
  17. ║               tan and blue and white.                           ║
  18. ║                                                                 ║
  19. ║               I've sailed upon the seven seas                   ║
  20. ║               and stopped in every land,                        ║
  21. ║               I've seen the wonders of the world,               ║
  22. ║               not yet one common man.                           ║
  23. ║                                                                 ║
  24. ║               I know ten thousand women                         ║
  25. ║               called Jane and Mary Jane,                        ║
  26. ║               but I've not seen any two                         ║
  27. ║               who really were the same.                         ║
  28. ║                                                                 ║
  29. ║               Mirror twins are different                        ║
  30. ║               although their features jibe,                     ║
  31. ║               and lovers think much different thoughts          ║
  32. ║               while lying side by side.                         ║
  33. ║                                                                 ║
  34. ║               We love and lose in China,                        ║
  35. ║               we weep on England's moors,                       ║
  36. ║               and laugh and moan in Guinea,                     ║
  37. ║               and thrive on Spanish shores.                     ║
  38. ║                                                                 ║
  39. ║               We seek success in Finland,                       ║
  40. ║               are born and die in Maine.                        ║
  41. ║               In minor ways we differ,                          ║
  42. ║               in major we're the same.                          ║
  43. ║                                                                 ║
  44. ║               I note the obvious differences                    ║
  45. ║               between each sort and type,                       ║
  46. ║               but we are more alike, my friends,                ║
  47. ║               than we are unalike.                              ║
