  4. ║     In my own Lifetime,                                        ║
  5. ║     I have been my own Prophet,                                ║
  6. ║     Witnessed my own evolution:                                ║
  7. ║     Humble start to startling heights.                         ║
  8. ║     Bypassing hatred, envy, bitterness.                        ║
  9. ║     Thirsting for knowledge of the Universe,                   ║
  10. ║     And forced to seek knowledge of Self.                      ║
  11. ║     I have sung my songs.                                      ║
  12. ║     My voice floating on feather-waves of sound,               ║
  13. ║     Or piercing the air like an arrow                          ║
  14. ║     Shot not from Cupid's bow,                                 ║
  15. ║     But from the stone hands of ancient men.                   ║
  16. ║     I have taken giant leaps,                                  ║
  17. ║     Soaring through the air without touching a single cloud.   ║
  18. ║     Olympian landings time and again.                          ║
  19. ║     I have been a dancer.                                      ║
  20. ║     Paying the Piper to dance to his tunes,                    ║
  21. ║     And creating fancy steps along the way.                    ║
  22. ║     I have screamed in terror,                                 ║
  23. ║     While building bridges across troubled waters.             ║
  24. ║     I have embraced depression while laughing at Fate.         ║
  25. ║     And I have done pirouettes with reality                    ║
  26. ║     While catching Nature's disapproving eye.                  ║
  27. ║     Unaided, I have found inner-self a dwelling place          ║
  28. ║     Of fears to battle and conquer-                            ║
  29. ║     To emerge victoriously at peace                            ║
  30. ║     With Self, the Universe, and a firm belief                 ║
  31. ║     That suffering strengthens!                                ║
