Opening Format
by Tony Curro
This month we have two announcements. First, we have a new monthly
column in CTM, CTM News, Updates and Upgrades. This column will
present information we have received over the last month of new
releases or upgrades. Many readers do not see my conference, which
is updated daily with this product information. So to keep everyone
better informed we have decided to add it to CTM. Another reason
also has to do with the second announcement.
Starting October 1, 1993, CTM will also be distributed by First
Prince Marketing. Ron Janorkar, who heads FPM, is an ASP author. He
is also the author of CTMViewer. Complete information about FPM can
be found is this month's News column. Ron will be mailing disks,
which will contain a copy of CTM each month to his list of
distribution sites. With the addition of Ron's boards, CTM is now
reaching almost 200 BBS each month. But, the great news is that we
have finally crossed the water. We have been in Hawaii, which is
across the ocean. However, now we will be reaching: England, The
Netherlands, and Israel for openers. As the months pass, we hope to
reach many other countries. This has been a dream of mine since I
saw the interest in CTM. To reach ALL the BBS world, not just the
U.S. We also have nine sites in Canada. Sixteen months ago I was
pleased that several local boards were interested. As time passed,
we just kept growing. It makes the time and effort that I put in
worth it. It is a wonderful feeling. As we went to press, we also
picked up a BBS in Portugal.
This month we have the following reviews:
Hardware - Sigma Legend VESA graphics card, Logitech MouseMan
Cordless, and Sound Galaxy NX Pro 16 sound card.
Software - Crosstalk v2.0 for Windows, Sherlock for Windows, Stacker
3.1, More Fonts and True Effects for Windows.
CD-ROM -- MPC Wizard 2.0, and The Animals!
The two CD-ROM's were very interesting packages. MPC is also a very
useful utility.
I will step aside now. But, I will be back next month with more
interesting reviews and news. Until next month...
