- UNSQZ is a new unsqueezer. YET ANOTHER ONE! WHY?????
-
- Well, I have my reasons. Here they are:
-
- 1. I used to use UNSQ14, which, like USQ119, has the nast habit of attempting
- to unsqueeze everything in sight if told to usq *.*...
- 2. Many times I want to get rid of the squeezed file after unsqueezing.
- 3. I may want to selectively unsqueeze 5 out of 10 files.
- 4. I may want to unsqueeze to a different drive and/or user area.
- 5. I may not want to use NSWP to do 1..4 above.
-
- So, I wrote UNSQZ. A few words about UNSQZ and how to use it:
-
-
- The following are legal command lines:
-
- A0>unsqz *.* ;unsqueeze all squeezed files
- A0>unsqz b7:*.* ;usq all in B7:, output to current area
- B3>unsqz c: ;same as "unsqz c:*.*" (*.* can be ommitted)
- B3>unsqz a5: c4: ;usq all from A5 to C4
- A2>unsqz a: $e ;usq all, erase after unsqueezing
- A2>unsqz a: $q ;query before unsqueezing, allow skipping
- A2>unsqz a: $qe ;same, but ask before usq AND before erase
-
- UNSQZ can be aborted at any time by pressing ^C (CONTROL-C) on the keyboard,
- except while waiting for a yes/no response. the abort will take effect JUST
- BEFORE the next USQ action, ie after the current job has been completed and
- (if specified) the source file has been erased.
-
-
- Please report any problems or suggestions to the SENECA RCPM 214-553-1363
-
- Fixed in UNSQZ10: problem unsqueezing files larger than 16k
- Fixed in UNSQZ11: buffer alignment error, inability to detect non-squeezed
- *.?Q? files
-
- NOTE:
-
- The resulting output file is identical to the squeezed file, up to and
- including the EOF marker. The remainder of the last sector is undefined.
- CRCK may produce different results. Other than for cosmetic reasons, there
- should be no reason to change this.
-
- an be ommitted)
- B3>unsqz a5: c4: ;usq all from A5 to C4
- A2>unsqz a:
