- Greetings, sports fans!
-
- This little package will allow you to install EBBSNet netmail into one
- of your message bases.
-
- Step 1: Edit the enclose batch file "ebbsnet.bat" to the message base
- you have selected for EBBSNet. The enclosed file is set up to copy the
- messages into mb2. It also is set to delete the file "messages.arv" and all
- the messages in \ebbs. You can, at your option, have it delete the existing
- messages in the EBBSNet base before installing the new ones by adding another
- command line in the batch file. I reccommend this, as the posts from your
- board will be duplicated if you don't...
-
- Step 2: Run "runme1st.exe". This creates a file called "ebbsmb.num"
- which stores the message base number you have selected for EBBSNet. If
- you want to change bases at a later date, just run it again, as it
- auto deletes the existing file.
-
- Step 3: Make certain the files "arv.exe" and "arvcon.com" are in the
- \ebbs directory, along with the file called "messages.arv". Simply type
- the command "arv" and it will all be done for you. Arv.exe updates your
- index.msb for you.
-
- Step 4: Proofread your messages to make certain they are intact!
-

-
- All posts are collected (at the present) on Sunday night/Monday morning by
- me, and each sysop is responsible for downloading "messages.arv" from my BBS
- each Monday night. That is the only cost to you - a 3 minute call once a week.
-
- My BBS: V-GER - 603 938-5265 (2400 tops at present). Messages.arv is
- always in xfer section #1 - file #1...

-
- A couple notes...
-
- The Reply via <E>mail function and all thread functions are not very useful
- with the EBBSNet base. If you feel handy you can disable those functions in
- the source code for the EBBSNet base. No harm is caused by leaving it as-is
- however.
-
- There are only 2 rules of conduct on the net - no extreme language (George
- Carlins words) and no direct slander of others. That is it.
-
- Thanks for your interest in EBBSNet!
