  1.               Notes on CHGDISK.COM

  3. This program allows an Advent Ramdisk which is running under the
  4. TurboROM to be reconfigured before use to have different disk
  5. parameters.  The choices can be viewed by running the program
  6. without any arguments.   The only caution is that the program
  7. should not be run twice in succession without logging on to the
  8. Ram drive (a simple directory will suffice).  Note that if the
  9. drive is not empty when you run this program, and you proceed
  10. with the parameter changes, the contents of the drive had better
  11. have been written to the drive when it had the same parameters!

  14. This program will not be supported by Plu*Perfect Systems, but it
  15. has proved useful in our own use.  The source code is provided as
  16. an example of how sophisticated changes can be made in a safe
  17. manner to the TurboROM operating environment.  It is understood
  18. that very few of you will havve the Digital Research PL/I-80
  19. compiler necessary to modify the code.  If you do experiment with
  20. similar types of code please test your code in a safe
  21. environment, it is very easy to destroy a hard disk contents with
  22. programs that manipulate the ROM scratch areas.
