  6. I am often asked, "What's a TWIT?" ...  my answer is:

  12.    Caller who keeps signing in with phony names to get another
  13.    30 minutes before being asked to sign off.
  14.  
  15.    Caller who won't bother to TYPE the .INF (info) files to find
  16.    out how to use the system properly.     
  17.  
  18.    Caller who insists on TYPE'ing files endlessly, especially 
  19.    useless ones, like the LASTCALR file, XMODEM.LOG, any programs 
  20.    written in "C", and even *.*. 
  21.  
  22.    Caller who does endless DIR commands and never echoes anything
  23.    to the printer.
  24.  
  25.    Caller who tries XMODEM R to send a file (about 50 times)
  26.  
  27.    Caller who keeps trying to XMODEM S RBBS.COM or other .COM files.
  28.  
  29.    Caller who doesn't know that CTRL-C aborts almost everything
  30.    including DIR listings and tries every other key instead.
  31.  
  32.    Caller who repeatedly tries to TYPE .LBR files, and leaves 
  33.    messages asking why the machine won't let him.

  35.    Caller who tries something like this:

  39. A0:SYSTEM>yes an apple //e, what's wrong with an apple?

  60.    and calls back several times each week to ask the same questions.

  62.    Caller who leaves a message on RBBS and says you should have a 
  63.    message program on the system so he can leave messages.

  65.    Caller who discovers CHAT and tries 300 times in a row to summon 
  66.    an operator even after being told, "Sorry operator is not available"
  67.  
  68.    Caller who tries every possible combination to change user areas 
  69.    and just can't seem to remember to use the colon ":"
  70.  
  71.    Caller who leaves a message on RBBS asking SYSOP to please 
  72.    leave out a copy of BASCOM.COM or MAC.COM ... etc
  73.  
  74.     Caller who leaves complaints on RBBS that he can't send you 
  75.     his new universal debugger because XMODEM won't let him leave a 
  76.     .COM file.
  77.  
  78.     Caller who, disgusted with his inability to use the system, 
  79.     leaves a message to SYSOP telling him that he should try a really 
  80.     good system, like the APPLE-based one in New York that has all 
  81.     those really neat games on it.
  82.  
  83.     Caller who ignores repeated notices from SYSOP that system will be
  84.     going down, then calls back immediately, and for the next 2 hours 
  85.     only to be denied access each time.
  86.  
  87.     Caller who complains about the FREE service offered through the
  88.     RCPM and tells you how you SHOULD run your system.
  89.  
  90.     Caller who ignores the fact that the SYSOP is trying to tell him
  91.     something by typing on the screen and doing <returns> or CTRL-U's.

  94. I MEAN LET'S FACE IT FOLKS, IT IS "OUR" MACHINES THAT YOU USE (ABUSE)
  95. AND IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS, WE HAVE THE ON/OFF SWITCH ... NOT YOU.
