  19. │ The VENDINFO toolset includes a free end-user viewer, processing   │
  20. │ tools for use by distributors (BBSes, shareware disk vendors,      │
  21. │ etc.), and the editor used by author/publishers to produce these   │
  22. │ records.  These tools are either free or very-low cost shareware.  │
  23. │ The toolset can be obtained from many sources, including the       │

  80. This package contains the recipe database program, MicroCook, Version
  81. 1.37, by NORSKi Software.  This document contains only a brief
  82. description of the package and its features, along with instructions for
  83. its installation.  Quite detailed documentation is included in the
  84. package, but it is in archived form, and is more easily read after
  85. installation.

  87. MicroCook is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes all
  88. features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use it
  89. for up to 30 days, without charge (see README.1ST for more details).  If
  90. you like the program, and wish to continue its use after this evaluation
  91. period, you are required to pay for the program (see MCOOK.REG for more
  92. details).  Any fee you may have paid to others (disk vendors, dealers,
  93. etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a fee for their copying and
  94. distribution services, rather than a payment for continued use of the
  95. program.

  129. ===== Installation =====================================
  130.  
  131. To register, type in REGISTER from the directory where all the MicroCook
  132. files are. This will execute a batch file which will print 2 sheets
  133. with the necessary information for registration of the MicroCook
  134. and the accompanying recipes. We hope you will register for both,
  135. but please register at least the part of this program package you
  136. will be using. See RECIPES.DOC for information about future addition
  137. of recipes and the upgrade program.
  138. You can also print the registration form for MicroCook from the Print
  139. Menu in MicroCook.
  140.  
  141. When you register you will receive a small "key file" with the serial
  142. number and your name. Place this file in the SAME directory as
  143. MCOOK.EXE. This file is for YOU only, and must NOT be distributed
  144. with any copies you give to your friends or upload to BBS's (which
  145. you are encouraged to do). The Key disables all the "Please Register!"
  146. messages and the time delayed opening and ending screens so the
  147. program will start running without delay. I added these "features"
  148. as reminders to unregistered users, not to harass them. The unregistered
  149. version and the registered version are identical in functions, except
  150. for these messages.
  151. Please keep a copy of the Key file in a safe place, since you have
  152. to pay a $5.00 S&H fee to get a new one.
  153. To print out the documentation included with MicroCook, type PRINTDOC
  154. from the directory where all the MicroCook files are located. This
  155. will execute a batch file that will print out the documents and the
  156. manual that's included with MicroCook. If you are printing to a
  157. continuous feed printer (DOT-Matrix), you should locate the first
  158. page perforation about 1 inch above where the print head is located.
  159. This will format the text better on the page.
  160. You can also print the manual (MCOOK.MAN) from the Print Menu in
  161. MicroCook.
