  3. INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Magic Johnson returned to the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday night and, for at least half the game, so did Showtime.

  5.         In Johnson's NBA coaching debut, the Lakers ran the sad-sack Milwaukee Bucks silly in the first half before settling for a 110-101 victory.

  7.         "I enjoyed it more than I thought I would," Johnson said. "To see the players work as hard as they did, that was so enjoyable to me."

  9.         The Lakers led 66-35 at half and were ahead 99-83 when a wild pass from Laker Vlade Divac sailed into the basket.

  11.         Magic just laughed. Bucks coach Mike Dunleavy, a former Lakers coach and good friend of Magic, held up both his hands as if to surrender.

  13.         Magic spent most of the game on his feet.

  15.         "I told myself before the game I was going to sit down," he said. "Right away, that didn't work. I was up."

  17.         Johnson's second game is Tuesday against Minnesota.
