Kurt Cobain was on heroin when he shot himself, and lay dead for three days before his body was found, Thursday's Seattle Post-Intelligencer said.
Meanwhile, Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, is fighting an April 7 drug arrest in L.A. The powder police found wasn't heroin - just "sort of Buddhist good luck ashes," her lawyer, Barry Tarlow, told USA TODAY Thursday. And a presciption pad confiscated by police was left in her hotel room by her doctor, he said.
