As part of Wednesday's plea bargain, Tonya Harding lost her identity as a figure skater. She might lose even more.
Harding, 23, pleaded guilty to conspiring to hinder the investigation into the attack on fellow Olympian Nancy Kerrigan.
Included in the deal: Harding resigned membership in the U.S. Figure Skating Association and withdrew from next week's World Championships.
She might be stripped of the U.S. title she won last January.
"That's always been a sanction that could be imposed," said Bill Hybl, chairman of a USFSA panel that will continue a review of Harding's conduct. Appearing on ABC's Nightline, Hybl added: "There are a series of things the panel could look at. There is the question of fines."
U.S. Olympic Committee executive director Harvey Schiller cited the possibility Harding's name "could be stricken" from 1994 U.S. Olympic team records. Harding finished eighth at the Winter Games last month.
Will Harding ever skate again? "Maybe some ice show will give her a shot, but I'd be surprised," said Kathy Casey, coach of worlds replacement Nicole Bobek.
USFSA President Claire Ferguson expressed surprise: "She's been strong. It just all folded up on her."
