  65. only a brief description of the package and its features, along

  68. easily read after installation.

  75. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use
  76. it for up to 30 days, without charge (see PHONBOOK.DOC for more
  77. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  78. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  79. PHONBOOK.DOC for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others

  102. ===== Installation =====================================

  104. The installation procedure for Word PhoneBook is quite simple. You will
  105. need about 1.0 MB of available disk space on the hard drive on which you
  106. plan to install Word PhoneBook.
  107.  
  108. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received Word
  109. PhoneBook.
  110.  
  111. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  112.  
  113. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  114.  
  115.    o  Place Word PhoneBook distribution diskette in the appropriate
  116.       diskette drive.
  117.  
  118.    o  Copy the file PHONBOOK.WLL to your Microsoft Word StartUp
  119.       directory. This directory will be inmediately below your Word main
  120.       directory (usually c:\winword or c:\msoffice\winword).
  121.  
  122.    o  Run Word. You will notice that a new toolbar icon will appear on
  123.       the standard toolbar (in case you have disabled the standard
  124.       toolbar you will need to enable it).
  125.  
  126.    o  Open PHONBOOK.DOC to learn how to customize your Word templates
  127.       and how to operate Word PhoneBook.

  129. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  130.  
  131. If you downloaded Word PhoneBook from a BBS (or received it in the form
  132. of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  133. following steps.
  134.  
  135.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file in a temporary
  136.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  137.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  138.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  139.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  140.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  141.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  142.       the package.

  144.    o  Proceed as above, copying the file PHONBOOK.WLL and reading
  145.       PHONBOOK.DOC.

  147. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  148. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed Word PhoneBook,
  149. including all its contents.
