This release adds significant new features - changes from version 3.00
1. First and Last commands did not always find first and last file.
2. Quick Menu was enabled while Year View Window was up.
3. Some windows needed to be disabled when not focus.
4. Improved configuration handling - TUIT.INI for each sub-directory
5. Now can print color bitmaps with text.
-------------------- Important Information ----------------------------
This program expects the 'Working Directory' to be a first-level
sub-directory of the installation directory.
To avoid confusing yourself don't run the software by clicking on
C:\TUIT\TUIT.EXE from File Manager.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation Instructions
=========================
1. Download "TUIT350.exe", a self-extracting zip file and place it in a
sub-directory by itself. C:\TUIT is the suggested location and the
remainder of these instructions presume you have acted on this suggestion.
2. Run TUIT350.exe to unpack the contents of the zip file.
3. Create AT LEAST ONE sub-directory of the directory where you placed
the file TUIT350.exe and give it a name that makes sense to you.
Creating the sub-directory
C:\TUIT\WHATEVER
effectively sets you up a journal devoted to the topic WHATEVER.
4. Create a new 'Program Group' and add a 'Program Item' to it:
A.) With Windows running, bring up Program Manager.
B.) Selet the 'New' option from the File Menu.
Select 'Program Group' and click on OK.
Type Tuit 3.50 for 'Description'
Type C:\TUIT\TUIT.GRP for 'Group File'
Click OK Button
C.) Once again select the 'New' option from the File Menu
Select 'Program Item' and click on OK.
Type WHATEVER for 'Description'
Type C:\TUIT\TUIT.EXE for 'Command Line'
Type C:\TUIT\WHATEVER for 'Working Directory'
Click OK Button
D.) At this point, an icon should appear on the screen which
you can then click on to start the software.
5. If desired, it is easy to create additional journals by running
the New Subject command from the program's File Menu.
You can have as many different subject areas as you would like.
{ You might for example set up a separate subject area 'Joe' to make
it easy to track your interactions with Joe through time. }
You MAY add an additional program item(s) to TUIT.GRP to represent any
additional journal(s) you create - c:\windows\moricons.dll is an easy
source for additional icons to associate with new program items. The
important thing to remember is that the WORKING DIRECTORY is to be a
first-level sub-directory of the installation directory NOT the
installation directory itself.
6. Should you ever wish to COMPLETELY remove this software from your system,
just remove C:\TUIT and all of its sub-directories and delete the
PROGRAM GROUP that you created in Step 4 above. To do so, run the
Delete command from Program Manager's File Menu with the TUIT
Program Group selected. This software alters NONE of your system files
and places NO FILES IN OTHER DIRECTORIES.
