TITLE: Ami Pro Program Files That Can Be Deleted
PRODUCT: Ami Pro 2.0
DATE: 02-Dec-1991
PROBLEM:
Which Ami Pro program files can be deleted in order to conserve disk space?
SOLUTION:
Drawing, Charting, Equations Editor, Thesaurus, Macro documentation, Dialog
Editor, and sample macros and documents can be excluded from installation.
Installing without these options will reduce the disk space requirements by
3,990K.
If Ami Pro has not already been installed, simply remove the X from any of the
above options during the installation. If Ami Pro has already been installed
with all of these options selected, the files have already been copied to the
hard drive and the program menus list Drawing, Charting, Equations, Thesaurus,
and the macro documentation as being available. In order to properly remove
these functions, it will be necessary to delete the corresponding program
files and reinstall Ami Pro without selecting the options.
CAUTION: Removing any files other than those suggested below will cause Ami
Pro to operate improperly and will require a reinstallation of the program.
Since graphic files are very likely to be available in the form of clip art or
in Ami Pro files that are transferred from other locations, it is not
recommended that the graphic filters be removed. Before deleting lines from
the AMIPRO.INI file located in the Windows directory, make a copy of the file
to another location. This copy can be later be restored to the Windows
directory if necessary.
