  1. TITLE:   Ami Pro Program Files That Can Be Deleted
  2. PRODUCT: Ami Pro 2.0
  3. DATE:    02-Dec-1991
  4.
  5. PROBLEM:
  6.
  7. Which Ami Pro program files can be deleted in order to conserve disk space?
  8.
  9. SOLUTION:
  10.
  11. Drawing, Charting, Equations Editor, Thesaurus, Macro documentation, Dialog
  12. Editor, and sample macros and documents can be excluded from installation.
  13. Installing without these options will reduce the disk space requirements by
  14. 3,990K.
  15.
  16. If Ami Pro has not already been installed, simply remove the X from any of the
  17. above options during the installation.  If Ami Pro has already been installed
  18. with all of these options selected, the files have already been copied to the
  19. hard drive and the program menus list Drawing, Charting, Equations, Thesaurus,
  20. and the macro documentation as being available.  In order to properly remove
  21. these functions, it will be necessary to delete the corresponding program
  22. files and reinstall Ami Pro without selecting the options.
  23.
  24. CAUTION: Removing any files other than those suggested below will cause Ami
  25. Pro to operate improperly and will require a reinstallation of the program.
  26. Since graphic files are very likely to be available in the form of clip art or
  27. in Ami Pro files that are transferred from other locations, it is not
  28. recommended that the graphic filters be removed.  Before deleting lines from
  29. the AMIPRO.INI file located in the Windows directory, make a copy of the file
  30. to another location.  This copy can be later be restored to the Windows
  31. directory if necessary.
  32.
