  7. How can a frame be easily created in the same position on different pages or 
  8. in different files?
  9.  
  10. SOLUTION:

  12. In Ami Pro release 2.0, a new feature in creating frames allows for automatic 
  13. placement of frames using the same size and position as the last frame 
  14. created.  Frames can be created in the same location on different pages of a 
  15. document or in different files.  The positioning and sizing measurements 
  16. remain until changed by changing the settings in the Create Frame dialog box 
  17. or by manually creating a frame.  Follow these steps to create a frame in the 
  18. same size and position on multiple pages of a document or in a different 
  19. document.  NOTE: If the last frame created is in the desired size and 
  20. position, skip to step 3.

  22.  1. Choose Frame / Create Frame.
  23.  2. Specify the desired frame size and position in the Create Frame dialog box 
  24.     and choose OK (or choose Manual to create a frame manually).
  25.  3. Access the page or file where the next frame in the same size and position 
  26.     should be created.
  27.  4. Choose Frame / Create Frame (the previous size and position settings will 
  28.     be in the Create Frame dialog box).
  29.  5. Choose OK.

  31. The new frame will be created in the same size and position as the first 
  32. frame.

  34. SHORTCUT TIPS
  35.  
  36. If a mouse is being used, SmartIcons are available for creating a frame 
  37. manually and for creating a frame using previous settings.  These icons can be 
  38. installed by following these steps:
  39.  
  40.  1. Choose Tools / SmartIcons.
  41.  2. Choose Customize.
  42.  3. Drag the Add a frame and Add a frame using previous settings icons from 
  43.     Standard Icons to Current Palette to the desired positions.
  44.  4. Choose OK.
  45.  5. Select Show SmartIcons with an X.
  46.  6. Choose OK.

  48. After these icons have been added, click on the Add frame icon to create a 
  49. frame manually (create the frame by pressing the left mouse button and 
  50. dragging the frame to the desired size) or click on the Add frame using 
  51. previous settings icon to create a frame using the size and position of the 
  52. last frame created (the frame will be automatically created).
