  7.         Well, this one was not tough at all. They did attempt to make
  8. multiple copies of you answer and store them for later checking in order
  9. to foil cracking, but these were taken care. The crack worked like this:
  10. I rewrote the rountine that compares the answer you type in, and changed
  11. it so that it would copy the right anser into the answer you typed.
  12. That took care of all the checksums they attempeted to do.

  14. Usage:
  15.         This is a byte patch. That means you you the file FTCRACK.EXE into
  16. the Fireteam directory, and you run FTCRACK.EXE by typing FTCRACK at the
  17. DOS prompt. You only need to run this crack once, and the game is cracked
  18. forever. This Byte Patch alters about 25 bytes of the file STARTUP.EXE, and
  19. renders the copy protection useless! Enjoy the game!
