  1. In this directory, you will find three directories called
  2. Info, Single, and Multiple.
  3.  
  4. Info contains Doom II official Frequenty Asked Questions
  5. and a Secrets text file to help you play the game.

  7. Single contains Doom II add-on levels that will work
  8. for one-person game play.  You will want to open the
  9. text file that comes with each .WAD level to determine
  10. which Map it replaces.  As an example, suppose that
  11. the text file KILLER.TXT for a level called KILLER.WAD
  12. says it replaces Map 02; then at the
  13. C:\DOOM2> prompt you type DOOM2 -FILE KILLER.WAD -WARP 2
  14. to play that level.

  16. Multiple contains levels that support multiple-player
  17. play; note that many of these are also found in the
  18. Single directory.  You will want to open the
  19. text file that comes with each .WAD level to determine
  20. which Map it replaces.  As an example, suppose that
  21. the text file KILLER.TXT for a level called KILLER.WAD
  22. says it replaces Map 02; then at the
  23. C:\DOOM2> prompt you type DOOM2 -FILE KILLER.WAD -WARP 2
  24. to play that level.  You will also want to check whether
  25. the WAD supports Cooperative or Deathmatch or both types
  26. of play.
