  1. Aztech Technologies' "Very Best of the Best Shareware MasterBlend" is a 
  2. compilation of applications for business, finance, communications, desktop  
  3. publishing, education, entertainment, home & hobby, mailings, programming
  4. and utilities.
  5.  
  6. It is important to note that the price for this CD-ROM covers only the 
  7. the medium, research, assembly, production, packaging, and distribution  
  8. costs. The actual intellectual properties, that is, the programs, require
  9. separate payment to the author(s) if you are going to use them. These
  10. programs are "shareware." They are not free unless specifically identified
  11. as such.

  13. OSCS Software Development Inc. (Bend, Oregon) graciously consented to permit 
  14. us to use their unregistered QuikMenu program. It is a very elegant, simple 
  15. and complete menuing system that was designed for a networking environment.
  16. We have set up all the shareware applications into submenus to make your 
  17. selections effortless.

  19. Please remember, QuikMenu is shareware and if you use it you must register
  20. with OSCS. You will find all the pertinent details in the QuikMen1 
  21. directory. The QuikMenu directory contains Aztech's MasterBlend menu.

  23. Most of these applications may be run from the DOS prompt by changing to the 
  24. directory of the application that interests you (referencing the directory 
  25. name in the "tree" below). Then just type RUNME. Some applications 
  26. want to write a configuration file or a high score file to disk. These 
  27. programs should be copied to your hard disk or a floppy. Some menu entries
  28. aren't programs (eg. clip art). A text file will appear that tells you what
  29. you need to do to make use of the item.

  31. A few of the programs may not have a "Quit" or "Exit" command - why? We may 
  32. never know. Sometimes the exit command is identified in the documentation - 
  33. but who reads documentation? First try the ESC (Escape) key. Then try 
  34. holding down the Ctrl (Control) key and pressing, one after the other, Q, W, 
  35. E, A, S, D, Z, X, C. Try the same with the Alt key. These represent just 
  36. about every conceivable exit command. (Then try the function keys.)

  38. When nothing else works, use the reboot function. Hold down the Ctrl 
  39. (Control) and Alt keys at the same time and then press Del (Delete).
