  15. many legs. These are I.C chips.
  16. I.C. stands for Integrated
  17. Circuit.  If you could look
  18. inside one with a magnifying
  19. glass you would see what looks
  20. like a map of downtown. This is
  21. a pile of semi-conducting
  22. photographic images that form
  23. complex electronic circuits.
  24. Each IC can replace thousands
  25. of transistors.
