  6. 1) Minimum System Requirements
  7.    IBM PC 486DX2 50MHz and 100% compatibles

  13.    Pentium 75 MHz and above
  14.    16 Mb RAM
  15.    40 Mb of free hard disc space

  18.    Operating System : Windows 95 (only for the sample - The O.S. 
  19.                       of full game on sale will be DOS or
  20.                       Windows 95.)

  25. - How to Install the game "Blade Warrior"
  26.  
  27. 1) Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive, 
  28.    then Autorun Window will appear.
  29.    (or execute install.exe in bladewarrior folder.)
  30.  
  31. 2) Select "Installation" in the Autorun Window,
  32.    and the Window for Setup will appear.
  33.  
  34. 3) To continue Setup, click "Next",
  35.    and "Choose Destination Location" will appear.
  36.  
  37. 4) If you want to change the drive(& directory) for installation,
  38.     click "Browse..."
  39.  
  40. 5) Select directory and click "Next"
  41.    then program files & data files will be copied to Hard Disk.
  42.  
  43. 6) When the "Setup is complete." appear, 
  44.    click "OK".
  45.        
  46. 7) The Setup is completed.

  49. - How to install "DirectX"
  50.  
  51. 1) Once the installation of Blade Warrior is finished,
  52.    the Window for DirectX Setup will appear.
  53.  
  54. 2) To install DirectX, click "Reinstall DirectX".
  55.  
  56. 3) If DiectX has been already installed in your computer,
  57.    press the "ESC key" or click "X" at top right corner of the Window
  58.    to cancel installation.
  59.  
  60. 4) When the installation of DirectX is finished, 
  61.    click "OK" to restart Windows. 
  62.  
  63. Warning : The DirectX contained in Blade Warrior distribution 
  64.              is DirectX2 version.  If your computer already
  65.              have lower verion of DirectX2 installed,
  66.              install the DirectX in this CD-ROM.

  69. - Adjusting Joypad
  70.  
  71. 1) Connect Joypad to PC.
  72.  
  73. 2) Double click Joypad in Control Panel.
  74.  
  75. 3) Select Joypad.
  76.  
  77. 4) Click "Adjust location", and set up as instructions.
  78.  
  79. 5) Click "OK", and the Setup will be completed.
  80.  
  81. ** We can not guarantee the well execution of Joystick 
  82.   except for the Joystick for Sound Blaster.

  88.    then the Window for AutoRun will appear.

  115.     There are 3 modes(Practice/Normal/Hard) in this game.
  116.     With practice mode you can only play upto stage 3.

  122.    Changing "Attack key(X key/Button 2)" to "Jump key(Z key/Button 1)"

  139.     Keyboard :  left/right arrow key.

  158.  * Hero Sou can Jump up at standing  position and can also 
  159.    jump up in the direction that he is going while moving.

  165.    There are five types of attack in this game.

  167.    a) Combination attack : Press and hold X key(button 2).
  168.    b) Jumping attack     : Press X key(button 2) when jumping.
  169.    c) Pounce attack      : Press and hold down arrow key(button) + X key(button 2)
  170.                            after Jumping.
  171.    d) Attack upper zone  : Press adn hold up arrow key(button) + X key(button 2).
  172.    e) Attack lower zone  : Press and hold down arrow key(button) + X key(button 2).

  175.   Press and hold attack key(X/button 2), and hero Sou will defend himself after 
  176.  a turn of attack.
  177.  Hero Sou can not defend himself in the following cases.
  178.   * Enemies' attack from behind
  179.   * Enemies' laser attack

  184.  1) f1   : Pause
  185.  2) f3   : Changing window size (320x200    640x400)
  186.  3) f4   : Changing screen (full screen window)
  187.  4) f5   : Adjusting screen's brightness to darker
  188.  5) f6   : Adjusting screen's brightness to lighter
  189.  6) spacebar : Skipping over introducory animations(Fast View)
  190.  7) Esc : To end this game currently in progress

  193. - The Screen Layout 
  194.  
  195. 1) Credits(remaining number of lives)
  196.  When the vitality on the vitality bar is completely consumed, 
  197.  the credits decrease.
  198.  The game will be over when no credit is left.
  199.  
  200. 2) Vitality
  201.  If hero Sou crashes against the enemies or he is attacked,
  202.  the vitality decreases.
  203.  If the Energy Item is taken, the vitality increases.
  204.  
  205. 3) Energy of Battle gear
  206.  Battle gear is hero Sou's weapon.
  207.  If hero Sou is attacked, the energy of Battle gear decreases. 
  208.  If hero Sou takes the Energy Items and Battle gears,
  209.  the Energy of the Battle gear increases.
  210.  The Battle gear will disappear when the Energy of Battle gear is
  211.  completely consumed.
  212.  The Energy colour will change to red in the case of a special level.

  215. - Weapons & Energy Items

  217. 1) Battle gear
  218.    Battle gear supports hero Sou's attack.  
  219.    There are five kinds of Battle gears. 
  220.    If player Keep taking the same kind of Battle gears, 
  221.    and the Battle gear will level up.
  222.     
  223. a) Shot gear
  224.    Shot gear fires high-frequency condensed energy bullets.
  225.    It has an auto-chasing function.
  226.  
  227. b) Homing gear
  228.    Homing gear chases and attacks Energy-being just like 
  229.    a guided missile with a hitting rate of nearly 100%,
  230.    but it takes a while to recharge.
  231.  
  232. c) Bomb gear
  233.    Bomb gear has the highest condensed energy bullets with a long
  234.    recharging interval, but you will be amazed at its 
  235.    annihilating power.
  236.     
  237. d) Guard gear 
  238.    Guard gear is made of special metal alloy.
  239.    It won't break easily.
  240.    With the help of balance controller, it hovers around hero Sou,
  241.    defending Sou from all attacks.

  243. e) Smash gear
  244.    Smash gear instantaneously fires energy in the form of plasma 
  245.    from it's own body.
  246.    Unlike other Battle gears, Smash gear attacks the particular
  247.    area of the enemy with concentrated power.
  248.    The recharging interval is long.

  251. 2) Energy Item
  252.    It enables hero Sou(and Battle gear) to recover his(it's) 
  253.    vitality(energy).

  256. - How to Play a full game
  257.  
  258.   Press Enter key and type "FULLGAME" and then press Enter key
  259.   again while playing the game.
  260.   You can now play the full game.
  261.
