  3. Making Waves enables anyone with just a PC and a 16bit sound card to create professional sounding songs using sound samples.  Central to this is the ability of the software to create melodic and rythmic loops from "single hit" samples, e.g. a drum hit or piano note.

There is a great ReadMe file which explanes exactly how to use this software. It's installed along with the demo.  While the demo is limited (there's no save option) you can create your own tracks and access their Web site (www.pslnet.demon.co.uk) which includes sample tracks, technical support, links and frequently asked questions.
