GetMyAddress 1.2b2 is an application that queries the Macintosh for information regarding its connection to the network (be it LocalTalk, EtherTalk; TCPort, MacTCP;...).
This version allows you to click a button and save all that information to a file. If the file does not exist, then it will be created, otherwise, the information will be appended to the existing file. The filename is "GetMyAddress File". That name may be modified with ResEdit. The file is tab-delimited* so you may use it with your favorite database program.
There no longer is a Desk Accessory version, as nobody really wants to check their address enough times to warrant it. If you really want it, let me know.

Tips: If you are only interested in saving the info, and not seeing it, then have the 'caps lock' key down or hold the 'option' key down.
If you don't want the cute 3 lines at the beginning of the file that describe the format, then create the file with a text editor, but leave it empty, in the same directory as GetMyAddress.
If you put this application on a floppy, then you can go from mac to mac, and compile a list of addresses of the various Macintosh computers on your network.
*The format of this file is perfect for use as an EtherPeek¬ Names file.
