  19. Warm  up   the  right-hand  edge
  20. of the steel where the cut is to
  21. start with  the  torch tip about
  22. 1/4" away.

  31. When you see  the  corner of the
  32. steel pieces  start  to liquefy,
  33. press the  cutting  lever  fully
  34. and move rapidly and smoothly to
  35. the  left  keeping the torch tip
  36. only 1/4" away.  If you move too
  37. slowly,  the  cut  may fill back
  38. in with  liquid  steel.  If  you
  39. move  too fast or if you are too
  40. shaky,  the  leading edge of the
  41. cut will  cool  off and cease to
  42. ignite more  steel.  This is how
  43. cutting  works,  steel  combines
  44. with oxygen creating enough heat
  45. to melt more steel.
