- You'll notice that the fire was
- very smoky. The floppy black
- dust you see rising into the air
- will settle all over you and
- your stuff. This is why a welder
- never lights pure acetylene. We
- just did that to demonstrate the
- dust and to show a pure acet-
- ylene flame. Here's how you
- really light a torch:~
