About GetAhead Release 1.0
Design Considerations for
The COMPETITIVE PC
Workstation Environment
This hypertext CourseWare to will help you get and keep a competitive edge
in the emerging global electronic marketplace using a PC.
Being able to compete effectively, indeed, being able to 'engage' effectively
in the evolving world marketplace will require the ability to consistently
produce a high level of useful RESULTS with your PC workstation.
The first step to realizing this expanded level of results is to take a
broader view of your PC and realize that it is more than simply a desktop
computer sitting there. The PC, it's physical surroundings, and it's
software resources, taken together, create a new entity, the Workstation
Environment.
Upon seeing this larger whole, it becomes obvious that when the five major
attributes of the Workstation Environment are optimized, the level of useful
results obtained from a PC begin to soar. And, of course, so does your
productivity and competitiveness.
GetAhead explores these five attributes and helps you evaluate your present
PC posture, so you may easily take steps to optimize your existing resources,
and thoughtfully plan for their expansion. The objective is to make these
workstation attributes as transparent as possible for YOU in your production
of computing RESULTS.
GetAhead also examines the broad scope of interrelated computing RESULTS
which are practical in an optimized workstation environment. Your proficiency
at obtaining similar results will be the controlling factor in how well you
are able to compete for the attention and responses of people, businesses, and
governments as you conduct your affairs in the developing global electronic
marketplace.
GetAhead uses both hypertext and linear text to present all the subject matter,
which is identical in both forms, and either may be printed.
Requirements: No special requirements. Hard drive recommended.
