WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Okay . . . I need work on the car
which I cannot do myself . . . now
what? Let's take a look . . .
My first suggestion is to ask a
friend if they know of a garage where
they do good, honest work. Not all
automotive repair shops are crooked.
Perhaps a friend has had some good
luck in a shop. Ask around.
My next suggestion is to go to a
shop which looks like it's fairly well
organized. Get a written estimate and
go to a second repair shop and ask for

another estimate for the same problem.
When you get home, compare them and
come back to this program to see if
what they are recommending makes any
sense. This program should be some
help to you.
You might consider a third shop for
an estimate. You could save yourself
a bundle! I am aware that most shops
will put diagnostic equipment on your
car and charge a fee. This is an un-
fortunate trend in auto service but
the equipment is very expensive stuff.
