Washing your automobile is equally
as important as waxing it. In fact, I
believe it's more important. Your car
should be washed a couple of times a
month to get off all the grim and bird
droppings (which are really bad for
paint). Good thing cows don't fly!
Use cool to warm water with a good
detergent. We use just a little Ivory
dishwashing liquid. Wash from the top
down so all the dirt keeps moving down
and do the tires and wheels last.

For washing, use a sponge. We use
a cheap one made by Dupont . . . the
thin rectangle type. Any sponge will
do the job.
For final touches, use a chamois to
wipe the car down. The glass and the
chrome especially will show huge
water spots if it's not dried off.
Wipe these two items as dry as you
can get them. (A soft towel could be
also used to dry the car if you feel
queasy about using an animal skin).
