  12.   Washing your automobile  is  equally
  13. as important as waxing it.  In fact, I
  14. believe it's more important.  Your car
  15. should be washed a couple of  times  a
  16. month to get off all the grim and bird
  17. droppings (which are  really  bad  for
  18. paint).  Good thing cows don't fly!                              
  19.   Use cool to warm water with  a  good
  20. detergent.  We use just a little Ivory  
  21. dishwashing liquid.  Wash from the top 
  22. down so all the dirt keeps moving down    
  23. and do the tires and wheels last.

  26.   For washing, use a sponge.  We  use
  27. a cheap one made by Dupont . . .  the
  28. thin rectangle type.  Any sponge will
  29. do the job.                    
  30.   For final touches, use a chamois to
  31. wipe the car down.  The glass and the
  32. chrome  especially  will  show   huge
  33. water  spots if  it's not dried  off.  
  34. Wipe these two items as  dry  as  you
  35. can get them.  (A soft towel could be
  36. also used to dry the car if you  feel
  37. queasy about using an animal skin).
