  13.     The  previous  screen  shows   2
  14. typical   brake   master  cylinders.  
  15. They can be either plastic  or  cast
  16. iron . . .  depending  on the maker.  
  17. They can have one heavy bale wire on
  18. the top or more than one.   Some  of
  19. the later models can  have  screw-on
  20. tops.  You will have to find the one
  21. applicable for your car.  The  heavy
  22. bale wire can be pried open  with  a
  23. screw driver.  Make certain there is
  24. no dirt on the top when you open it.

  28.   The level of the  fluid  should  be
  29. about one-half of an inch  below  the
  30. top of the cylinder.    If  it  falls
  31. below that  repeatedly,  you  have  a
  32. problem with leaking cylinders  which
  33. must be repaired.   Look  around  the
  34. master cylinder for leakage.  If  not
  35. there, one  or  more  of  your  wheel
  36. cylinders are probably leaking.   You
  37. will have to have someone  look  into
  38. it.  Be sure to maintain  the  proper
  39. fluid level until you do fix them.
