  21.        PC-LEARN is a shareware tutorial system for computer beginners 
  22.        which features all NEW updated high speed color or monochrome 
  23.        menus, tutorial printing on your printer, information searching 
  24.        capabilities, revised tutorials and much more! 
  25.  
  26.        This version assumes installation to a hard drive. Contact
  27.        the author for a special "floppy drive only" version for users 
  28.        lacking a hard drive.

  30.        PC-LEARN is a training system which includes chapters on buying 
  31.        and using a computer, an entertaining history of computers, DOS 
  32.        lessons, hard disk drives and tech tips. It also includes 
  33.        information on word processing, a suggested reading list, 
  34.        software selection, computer clubs, batch files, spreadsheets, 
  35.        databases, and even a glossary! PC-LEARN runs on all IBM 
  36.        compatible PC's. PC-LEARN has been selected a recommended 
  37.        beginner's choice by 21 computer clubs and has been featured in 
  38.        two national computer magazines. PC-LEARN is shareware. Please 
  39.        make copies and share with your friends. Program runs on ALL 
  40.        systems and does NOT require color or special graphics. A hard 
  41.        drive is required for this version. Registration information is 
  42.        contained in the file BONUS.TUT within the main unpacked program.

  44.        Submitting a requested $25 registration fee to the author of PC-
  45.        LEARN brings two VALUABLE bonus disks by mail which every 
  46.        computer user or beginner should obtain to learn about and use a 
  47.        computer to its full potential. The bonus disks are designed to 
  48.        minimize computer frustration and add to the power of PC-LEARN.

  50.        You will be delighted you paid the small registration fee with 
  51.        the gain in time, energy and understanding the bonus disks will 
  52.        provide. Over 9,000 people have registered PC-LEARN in the past

  67.        you to use and EVALUATE the program for up to 30 days subject 
  68.        to your possible payment of a final registration fee to continue 
  69.        full and legal use of the program. Submitting an honest 
  70.        registration fee on an honor system means the author of PC-LEARN 
  71.        will provide two additional valuable bonus disks, shipped by 
  72.        mail to you plus any updates to PC-LEARN.

  74.        If you received a copy of PC-LEARN with your new computer, you 
  75.        are essentially EVALUATING this program subject to your final 
  76.        purchase. You may print a registration form on your printer by 
  77.        selecting the "print registration form" option from the main 
  78.        menu.

  80.        If you received this disk from a shareware distributor who 
  81.        charged $3 or $4 for a sample copy disk, you have only paid a 
  82.        distribution/handling fee for an evaluation disk of which 
  83.        NO PORTION goes to the author of the software. You are expected

  85.        your use of the program if you do not pay for it.

  101.        it! PC-LEARN is thus both a tutorial and a marketing tool! 
  102.        Customized logos and cover screens are also available for 
  103.        computer clubs and are a wonderful way to boost membership and 
  104.        make new members feel good about your club's "personalized" copy 
  105.        of PC-LEARN.

  126.                   INSTALLATION AND UNPACKING OF THIS PROGRAM

  130.        The main PC-LEARN package is stored in compressed files produced 
  131.        by the software program LHARC written by Haruyasu Yoshizaki. 
  132.        Unpacking to a hard drive is recommended. A special floppy
  133.        disk version is available from the author.

  135.        For most users having a C: hard drive and an A: floppy drive, 
  136.        use the normal installation procedure which assumes this 
  137.        installation disk of PC-LEARN is located on a floppy in your 
  138.        A: drive and the final destination is your C: hard drive.

  142.        For those using drives other than A: B: or hard drive C:
  143.        a useful help screen with commands for using LHARC is 
  144.        available by typing the command   LHARC    at the DOS prompt.

  146.        Example:    A>LHARC    produces detailed help screen.
  147.        This will provide the LHARC command syntax for use with 
  148.        other drive systems.

  150.        Once unpacked, start the main program using the command:  PCL
  151.        
  152.        You must, of course, switch or change into the hard drive 
  153.        subdirectory which now contains the unpacked PC-LEARN files.
