  8. if it meant landing an ace role. But few would consider leaving
  9. their mates. In order to win the part of an emotionally fragile
  10. wife in the upcoming film Waterland, actress Sinead Cusack was
  11. told by her director to check out of her marriage to co-star
  12. Jeremy Irons temporarily and check into a hotel room. Onscreen
  13. the happily wedded pair play a couple plagued with problems. As
  14. it turned out, "I was a gibbering idiot during most of the
  15. shoot," says Cusack. So the separation wasn't such a bad idea.
