  7.     She was willing to pay his mortgage, insurance and even
  8. his cable-TV bill, but JOAN LUNDEN was livid when a New York
  9. judge ordered her to pay $18,000 a month temporary alimony to
  10. her estranged husband Michael Krauss, an ex-ABC-TV producer who
  11. championed his wife's ascent to co-host of Good Morning America
  12. in 1980. "Why the courts don't tell a husband who has been
  13. living off his wife to go out and get a job is beyond my
  14. comprehension," said Lunden, who reportedly makes $2 million a
  15. year. Defending the lavish subsidy, Krauss's attorney said,
  16. "He's used to spending more than that. He deserves his share
  17. until he gets on his feet." With that kind of allowance, why
  18. would anyone bother sending out resumes?
