  7.     Guess who's squeezing into advance screenings of Robert
  8. Altman's The Player, a take-no-prisoners satire of just about
  9. everyone in Hollywood? Just about everyone in Hollywood. "They
  10. get to play their favorite game -- talking about themselves,"
  11. concludes a bemused Altman. "If they see something negative,
  12. they assume that that's the other guy" -- which may also explain
  13. why Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis and dozens of Glitzville's
  14. greatest gladly assented to cameo appearances. Due for release
  15. in April, the film chronicles the murder of a screenwriter at
  16. the hands of studio exec Tim Robbins. "Hollywood is the arena,"
  17. says Altman, "but it's really a reflection of what our whole
  18. culture is coming to." Which is? "GREED!"
