  6. serving as chief of a U.N. observer group in Lebanon, and of
  7. William Buckley, CIA station chief who was seized in 1984 while
  8. on his way to work at the U.S. embassy in Beirut; in Beirut.
  9. Both men died in captivity under circumstances that remain
  10. unclear.
