OCR: CHRONOLOGY JULY 4, 1857 Bom Emmeline Goulden, in Manchester, eldest of ten children of a prosperous calico printer. 1879 Marries barrister Dr. Richard Pankhurst (dies 1898). 1889 Cofounds the Women's Franchise League. 1903 Forms the Women's Social and Political Union. MAY 1910 Imprisoned for inciting followers to "rush the House of Commons." APRIL 3, 1913 Sentenced to three years in prison for arson at the house of Chancellor of the Exchequer Lloyd George. 1918 Women over age 30 win right to vote. 1926 Joins Conservative party as prospective candidate for Whitechapel. JUNE 14, 1928 Dies five weeks after full women's suffrage is introduced in Britain.
