Finishing DMC Glass Cords
Attaching Cord to Glasses
To attach the cord you've just made to your sunglasses or eye-
glasses, you have a choice of two methods - using either plastic
eyeglass holders or small elastic bands.
Plastic Eyeglass Holders
These plastic holders can be purchased at a pharmacy, variety
store or from your local optician. To attach the cord, first separate
one tail in half, slip half of the strands through the plastic holder and
tie a double knot (left strands over right, right over left). Now slip
the sunglass/eyeglass earpiece through the other side of plastic
holder. Adjust holder to comfortable position on earpiece and
tighten tension spring. Trim excess tail. Attach other tail in same
manner.
Small Elastic Bands
These small elastic bands (approx. 1/2" in diameter) can be pur-
chased at a variety or stationery store - orthodontic elastic bands
from braces also work great. To attach cord, first separate one tail
in half, slip half of strands through elastic band and tie a double
knot (left strands over right strands, right over left). Now slip elastic
band over sunglass/eyeglass earpiece and twist it approx. 3 times
to tighten. Adjust elastic band to comfortable position on earpiece.
Trim excess tail. Attach other tail in same manner.
