  5. Attaching Cord to Glasses

  7. To attach the cord you've just made to your sunglasses or eye-
  8. glasses, you have a choice of two methods - using either plastic
  9. eyeglass holders or small elastic bands.

  12. Plastic Eyeglass Holders
  13.  
  14. These plastic holders can be purchased at a pharmacy, variety
  15. store or from your local optician. To attach the cord, first separate
  16. one tail in half, slip half of the strands through the plastic holder and
  17. tie a double knot (left strands over right, right over left). Now slip
  18. the sunglass/eyeglass earpiece through the other side of plastic
  19. holder. Adjust holder to comfortable position on earpiece and
  20. tighten tension spring. Trim excess tail. Attach other tail in same
  21. manner.

  23. Small Elastic Bands

  25. These small elastic bands (approx. 1/2" in diameter) can be pur-
  26. chased at a variety or stationery store - orthodontic elastic bands
  27. from braces also work great. To attach cord, first separate one tail
  28. in half, slip half of strands through elastic band and tie a double
  29. knot (left strands over right strands, right over left). Now slip elastic
  30. band over sunglass/eyeglass earpiece and twist it approx. 3 times
  31. to tighten. Adjust elastic band to comfortable position on earpiece.
  32. Trim excess tail. Attach other tail in same manner.
