  14. Mix drink packets with 1/2 gallon water.

  16. Presoak wool and place in a heat-proof pot. Add water to
  17. cover. Lift the wool out, stir in the 1/2 gallon of dye
  18. solution, and re- enter the wool. Simmer for 15 to 30
  19. minutes. Let cool for 30 to 60 minutes.

  21. Rinse well to remove excess dye. Spin dry in the washer.

  24. Alternative Method

  26. Presoak 2 oz wool in cold water. In an enamel or stainless
  27. steel pot mix 2 packets Kool-Aid or Wyler's. Add 1/2 cup
  28. vinegar for every 1/2 gallon of the cold water used in
  29. presoaking. Mix.

  31. Gently pour wool into the dye mix. Add more water, if
  32. necessary, to cover the wool. Gradually warm the dyepot,
  33. then simmer on low for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn
  34. off the heat and let soak till room temperature.
