  2. Dressy Drapes with Tassles
  3.  
  4. Materials: Tassels; raffia or other type of decorative cording (optional);
  5. sheer  medium-weigh loosely pleated draperies; needle and thread (optional);
  6. ladder; drapery rod.

  8. Step 1:
  9. If your tassels do not have attached cords, you will have to cut lengths of
  10. raffia or other decorative cording and attach to tassles. Cut fourteen l6
  11. inch pieces of cording for both panels (or as many as needed to match the
  12. total number of pleats). If tassles have loops at top, simply string cording
  13. through loop; if they don't, hand-stitch tassel at mid- point of each cording
  14. piece. Now you're ready to attach to drapery rod.

  17. Step 2:
  18. Working on a ladder with the rod in postion tie tassel cording around rod
  19. at each pleat. (Note: If your draperies hang on rings from a rod, use
  20. shorter tassel cording and tie to the bottom of each ring.
