  1. Flower Girl Plaited Headband:

  3. Materials:
  4. 4 yards of 3/8"  wide Offray feather-edge satin ribbon
  5. 1 yard  of 3/16" wide Offray feather-edge satin ribbon
  6. 1 yard  of 1/8"  wide Offray satin ribbon
  7. Offray ribbon roses
  8. headband
  9. glue
  10. floral wire
  11.  
  12. Directions:

  14. 1. From 3/8" wide ribbon make loop in center, make loop with one tail
  15.    and bring thru center loop. Repeat with other tail
  16.    Continue working from side to side pulling ribbons snuggly to form
  17.    braid.
  18.  
  19. 2. Glue or stitch ends.
  20.  
  21. 3. Glue to headband.
  22.  
  23. 4. Cut 1/8" and 3/16" wide ribbons in quarters. Wire together at one
  24.    end and glue to mid-side of headband.
  25.  
  26. 5. Glue roses over wired ends of wibbons and on ends of streamers.
  27.  
  28. Variations: Plaited ribbons can also be used to decorate showes, flower girl
  29. baskes, hair combs or barrettes. One yard of ribbon rquals approximately 4
  30. inches of finished plait.
