  6. Dharma Trading Company sells good black dyes (4 of them) which are
  7. designed for cotton and other natural fabrics.  They do not stain the
  8. washing machine, plus if you ask them, they will supply instructions for
  9. different types of dyeing techniques.  (800)542-5227.  Personally, I like
  10. them better than Rit, and the colors remain vivid after many years even
  11. with machine washing.  (the negative side is that you need a few extra
  12. supplies to make the color permanent)
