Materials: 1 towel about 14" x 24 " ( be sure towel has complete
design on both ends -- makes two towels);
1 oz. 3 Ply yarn in colors to blend with towel
Steel crochet hook #6
Crochet hook Size "G"
Zig sag or sew 2 lines across the center of the towel, dividing the two
designs. Cut between the sewing.
Row 1: Using the steel crochet hoook #6, sc across cut top of towel,
making sts about 1/4 inch apart. ( If towel is hard to work on,
make a line of holes across top with a large sharp needle). Ch 3,
turn.
Row 2: Change to size "G" hook, make a dc in every st across row. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Make a dc in ever other st across row, ch 3, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until only 6 or 8 sts remain (desired thickness). Dc in
every st for 8 or 10 rows. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Sew button on inside front on bottom row of the 6 or 8 dcs. No buttonhole is
needed, button will go between center dcs.
